Studio uniforms are compulsory for 2018 so please ensure that you get in early for your uniforms.

At Rising Star Dance, we believe that wearing studio uniforms give students a sense of belonging to our family as well as creating an identity for our studio in the greater community.

Exam classes will be $10 per lesson, parents are then also responsible for the exam uniforms and exam entry fees.

If you have any further questions on the exams please don’t hesitate to ask.

This program will come with a yearly fee not an individual class fee and the only other cost involved will be costumes.  We will be doing 2-4 routines in this program.

Performance Opportunities

Here at Rising Star Dance I endeavor to give the children the chance to perform publicly throughout the year.  With the hope of performing in shopping centers, cane festival parade, fetes and eisteddfods.

While this is not always available I will do my best to organize it as I am wanting to give my students the opportunity to perform in public to gain performance experience and prepare them for our end of year concert, (as some of our students have never been on stage before) I feel that the growth that will come from the students performing in public will be huge and a large confidence booster heading up to their most important night of the year, the end of year concert.

This year I would like to create a performance troupe for students from the age of 6 – 18. The students will learn a few routines that will be used at various public performances throughout the year. There will be a small rehearsal fee and costumes as required, however these routines will once again be performed in the end of year concert. Any students interested in being a part of this please inform me upon enrollment.

Concert

Each year we have an end of year concert, a chance for the students to showcase their talents and abilities and to show you what they have been working on throughout the year.   Participation in the concert is not compulsory – however your decision on this is required before June 30th 2018.  After this date costumes will be started and you will be included in this – once costumes are started you are responsible for the full costs of your child’s costumes.  You will also be required to attend weekend rehearsals prior to the show, please note the dates of these in your important date’s section.

This year we have a concert rehearsal fee of $25 per student which is due with your term 3 fees.

Our concerts are fun and very entertaining for all involved and the students even ask to come back the following day for another go on stage!

To families joining after June 30th will be required to make this decision urgently.

Costuming

For our end of year concert in December costumes are required.  Performing in our end of year concert is not compulsory – however once costumes are started and you have failed to notify me of your willingness not to participate you will be required to pay for your costumes in full. Please notify me of this by June 30th 2018. I design the costumes around the dance I have choreographed, keeping in mind a number of factors such as type of dance (floor work, acrobatics etc.) and the age and size of the students and so on. A costume deposit of $200 for Junior students and $300 for Senior students is required in FULL prior to July 31st 2018, this will be your commitment to the concert and costumes for your child will be made. This will be taken off your costume bill at the end of the year. Costume prices are not available until they are completed.  (For example- As I may purchase 10 mtrs of fabric and only use 5 mtrs of fabric I wait until they are fully completed to price these – to save you money.)

Once costumes have been started no refund will be given

New stockings (purchased through the studio bulk order) will be required for the concert and will appear on your costume invoice as a separate item.

To assist with the costs of your costumes at concert time, I offer the facility for you to make payments towards your costumes throughout the year.  As a suggestion to ease the financial burden of concert time at Christmas, why not set up a Direct Debit (as an example $10 per week). Just a small weekly amount can make a huge difference and relief at Concert time.

Costume bank account details are as follows for any payments you wish to make throughout the year –
